As we get older we understand more and more that it is not about what we look like nor what we own. It is all about the person we have become. Old age is when we have stopped growing at both ends, and have begun to grow in the middle. Then we realize that most of us never get enough exercise. Here are some inspiring wisdom about aging inspired by the writings of an unknown writer.

By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he’s too old to go anywhere.

So in His wisdom God decreed that seniors become forgetful so they would have to search for their glasses, keys and other things thus doing more walking. And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Then God saw there was another need. In His wisdom He made seniors lose coordination so they would drop things requiring them to bend, reach and stretch.  And God looked down and saw that it was good.

Old age is having a choice of two temptations and choosing the one that will get you home earlier.

Then God considered the function of bladders and decided seniors would have additional calls of nature requiring more trips to the bathroom, thus providing more exercise. God looked down and saw that it was good.

So if we find as we age, we are getting up and down more, remember it is God’s will. It is all in our best interest even though we mumble under your breath.

Here are some facts to remember as we grow older:

*Death is the number 1 killer in the world. *Life is sexually transmitted. * Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. *Men have two motivations: hunger and hanky panky, and they can't tell them apart. If you see a gleam in his eyes, make him a sandwich. *Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the Internet and he/she won't bother you for weeks, months, maybe years.  *Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in the hospital, dying of nothing. *All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.  *In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, and people take Prozac to make it normal. *Life is like a jar of jalapeno peppers. What we do today maybe a burning issue tomorrow.

So don’t get all weird about getting older! Our age is merely the number of years the world has been enjoying us!!

We are all going to age and soften and mellow in transition, all of us. If we are lucky. There are plenty of things to be anti about: anti-discrimination, anti-drug, anti-oppression, ant-poverty and anti-sickness. Aging is not one of them. We need to become pro-aging and embrace the opportunities that aging provides.-Jame Lee Curtis
