All good ideas arrive by chance. Chance happens to all, but to turn chance to account is the gift of few. Chance can define our lives in important ways. Our lives improve only when we take chances and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves. Let’s take chances, make mistakes, that's how we grow. Pain nourishes our courage; we have to fail in order to practice being brave.

In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

When we take those chances, we can achieve greatness; whereas if we go conservative, we would never know. I truly believe that what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. Even if we fail, learning and moving on is sometimes the best thing that could happen to us.

I have learned that there is no chance, no destiny, and no fate that can circumvent or hinder nor control the firm resolve of a determined soul. I have also learned that if we don't design our own life plan, chances are, we fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for us? Not much.

The chances of each of us coming into existence are infinitesimally small, and even though we shall all die someday,  we should count ourselves fantastically lucky to get our decades in the sun. Richard Dawkins

I haven't lived a perfect life. I have regrets. But that's from a lifetime of taking chances, making decisions, and trying not to be frozen. The only thing that I can do with my regrets is understand them and keep on going and the chances are, I will stumble on something, perhaps when I am least expecting it. I have never heard of anyone stumbling on something sitting down

If we think about it, the chances of each of us coming into existence are infinitesimally/exceedingly small, and even though we shall all die someday, we should count ourselves fantastically lucky to get our decades in the sun!

Good planning is important. I've also regarded a sense of humor as one of the most important things on a big expedition. When you're in a difficult or dangerous situation, or when you're depressed about the chances of success, someone who can make you laugh eases the tension. Edmund Hillary
