WHAT DOES IT TAKES FOR
THE SALVATION OF THE SOUL? I do
believe that truly, our soul
find rest in God and our
salvation come from Him.
Salvation is free, but
discipleship costs everything we
have. Suppose we could gain
everything in the whole world
and lost your soul, is it worth
it? It is not necessary that we
should be rich, honored or
enjoying good health, but it is
necessary that we should save
for the end alone what has God
placed us in the world and woe
to us if we do not attain it.
I
do believe that the only good to
be obtained in this world is
salvation; and the only evil to
be dreaded, is condemnation to
eternal punishment in hell. It
does not matter if we are poor,
despised, or infirm if we are
“Not that our salvation
should be the effect of
our work, but our work
should be the evidence
of our salvation.” ~

saved and we shall be happy forever. On the contrary, what do we gain to
be great if we are lost? We
shall be miserably lost for all
eternity. If we may be lost why
do we not resolve to adhere more
closely to God?
I
also believe that the glory of
the salvation of souls belongs
to God, and to Him alone. Our
work is not to save souls, but
to disciple them. Salvation and
sanctification are the work of
God’s sovereign grace, and the
work of His disciples is to
disciple others’ lives until
they are totally yielded to God.
One life totally devoted to God
is of more value to Him than one
hundred lives which have been
simply awaken by His Spirit.
“God proved His
love on the Cross. When
Christ hung, and bled,
and died, it was God
saying to the world, ‘I
love you.'” ~ Billy

The glory of God, and as
our only means of glorifying Him
is the salvation of human souls
and it is the real business of
life. We should greatly rejoice
in the Lord; our soul shall
exult in God, for He has clothed
us with the garments of
salvation; He has covered us the
robe of righteousness. Yes, time
spent in honor of God for the
salvation of souls is never
badly spent. For what shall it
profit a man if he shall gain
the whole world and lose his own
soul?
I have also learned that
there are conditions on our
part, to initially receive and
retain salvation after it is
received. The conditions for
initial salvation are repentance
from sin and a submissive faith
in Jesus Christ for forgiveness
and salvation. The conditions
for final salvation are
endurance to the end and
holiness.
The
greatest enemy of human souls is
the self-righteous spirit which
makes men look to themselves for
salvation. What is salvation
without faith? It is like a
Christmas tree without a star,
is like a kingdom without a
king, is like heart without a
beat, it is like a light switch
that just won’t turn on. To live
a happy life is to live the
salvation of souls.

unto salvation is

God, but the passion
He has exhibited
toward us sinners by

to redeem us.” ~
