For those who are not familiar with a balance sheet, it is a financial statement that summarizes our (or company's) assets, liabilities and net worth at a specific point in time. These three balance sheet segments give us an idea as to what we own, owe and our net worth  or equity (Assets=Liabilities+Net Worth).

The following analogy between a balance sheet and life (derived from a forwarded email) encourages us to develop our weaknesses, increase our worthiness and have a more meritorious life.

Life, like money is spent. What are we buying with ours? Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. In life, it is not what we have gathered but what we have scattered that matters. What matters at the end is how long, we will be remembered by whom and for what!

Our birth is our opening Balance!
Our death is our closing Balance!

Our prejudiced views are our liabilities
Our creative ideas are our assets

Heart is our current Asset
Soul is our fixed asset
Brain is our fixed deposit
Thinking is our current account

Achievements are our capital
Character  and morals, our stock-in-trade
Friends are our general reserves
Values amd behavior are our goodwill

Patience is our interest earned
Love is our dividend
Children are our bonus issues
Education is brands/patents

Knowledge is our investment
Experience is our premium account
The aim is to tally the balance sheet accurately.
The goal is to get the best presented accounts award.
