We Learn from Experience

As Christians we know that God uses ordinary people not those who are strong, straight forward, experienced, full of faith nor those who have great personalities, as we have learned how Jesus chose His disciples.

He uses humble, broken, yielded men and women, and He chooses them when they draw themselves close to Him through trials and difficulties.

Anyone can give up. It is the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together, when everything seems like falling apart; that is true strength! ~unknown

Life is the acceptance of responsibilities or evading them and it is about our choice in meeting our obligations or avoiding them that we are fairly measured. So it is when we feel like we are at the bottom of the heap that we can look up to Him and we can bet that He is getting ready to really use us.

We cannot become what we want or need to be by remaining what we are. Thoughtful people know that babies rise to their feet, take a step, are overcome with triumph and joy and fall flat on their face. It is a pattern for all of us to learn from bewildered babies who by instinct, keep on trying again and again until they are able to stand up and walk.

It is not genius that sticking and persevering to what we try to accomplish give us successful result. We may make mistakes and fail in the process but the more mistakes that we make, the more new things we try, the more we learn.

Thomas Edison said that he had failed his way to success; that he was not discouraged every time he failed because every wrong attempt that he discarded was another step forward. Likewise, according Albert Einstein it is not that he was very smart; it is just that he stayed with problems longer. As we can see, success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have given up.

Determination is the strength that enables us to pass the barrier of useless thoughts in order to create positive thoughts and to be successful in whatever we wish to accomplish. It comes from within and its partner is patience. Patience teaches us not to push but rather to wait and appreciate the game of life and knowing that nothing remains the same, and everything will change at some point.

The power to hold on and endure in spite of some hindrances is the quality of a winner. Our greatest glory is not at all failing but in rising every time we fail. It is our constant and determined effort that eventually breaks down all resistances and sweeps all the barriers before us. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that is necessary to reach our goal. All great achievements require time. Endurance is the crowning quality of success

We can certainly trust that God will always use us just as who we are, with our flaws, faults, sins and all. Our natural mind will probably have trouble of fully understanding and accepting that we can always rely on the sound spiritual principle that His power will, at all times, use and guide us to the right direction and to a better life.
